We are in our third week of school already!
Eighth graders are reading a novel in preparation for a literature project. I also require them to summarize each chapter as they read the book. The deadline for finishing the book and completing the chapter summaries is Friday, September 25th. I will check their progress every week.
On Friday, we will commemorate 9/11/01 as Patriots' Day. Students are asked to wear red, white, and /or blue. Please no sports team shirts or jerseys. Jeans are acceptable as well as uniform shorts.
Deacon Gerry will have training for servers this Sunday afternoon from 1:00 until 2:30 in St. Augustine's Church. This is for anyone from St. A's who would like to serve either weekday or Sunday masses.
Also, there will be a fundraising meeting for 8th grade parents on Tuesday evening, September 15th at 6:30 p.m. in the 8th grade classroom.
Have a great week!

The eighth graders are off to a running start! All students are required to use the planner. Still, some students are not checking off the assignment as it is completed, and thus some assignments are overlooked and not finished. Encourage them to stay organized.
We have started learning about the events leading up to the Declaration of Independence and the Revolutionary War. We will then begin the U.S. Constitution.
